Jeffrey K. Spear, Ph.D.

Postdoctoral Researcher

My research focuses on understanding the evolution of bipedalism in the earliest human relatives. I am particularly interested in the locomotion of the last common ancestor of chimpanzees and humans, and the evolutionary context from which bipedalism evolved. My current research includes functional anatomy and biomechanics of the foot and morphological integration of the primate postcranial skeleton.
